Sampling Collections
For my homepage and every single course I want to show a sample of testimonials from a collection on marketing pages but also let users see all the testimonials for a collection Otherwise we need to create two collections (Sample and Wall) and for me then I'll end up with 40 Collections and 40 Widgets. Also for product marketers they likely want to experiment: - What if I show a single testimonial - What I show a sample of testimonials (3) - What if I could always show the best ones (maybe from very well known community members) - What if I could randomize the sample

Hey @Andrew, good news, you can get pretty close with existing features!
You can use Limit Testimonials to set a max (e.g. 3) and combine it with Sort Randomly so each visitor sees a different sample on every page load. You can also use Pin to always show your best ones at the top, or sort by Rating.
The practical approach would be 1 collection per course + 2 widgets each (one limited sample, one full wall). Not the most elegant, but both pull from the same collection so they update automatically.

A true "one widget, smart sampling per page" isn't available yet, keeping this open for discussion and more upvotes for it.
