We're keeping this in Discussion — the more upvotes it gathers, the stronger the case for prioritising it.

Hi Olly,
So testimonials are for customers sharing feedback about the company / website directly, which works really well.. You guys do a great job of this and have some nice to use widgets to build it into the site.
What I would like to see is customers being able to leave testimonials per product, so the same widget method would apply to build the look of the reviews on the product page, but this would be linked to a universal product code say EAN.
The way I see this could work is you could allow customers to leave product reviews for products where customers leave them on your site only OR you could select to show reviews from a “Senja” database, so if say a customer left a product review on electrics.co.uk, and they use Senja, it also could be shown on sparky.co.uk if they both have the global review marker turned on. Everyone gains from the second option, if enabled, but you can still lock it down to your site only if needed.
Reviews.io do something similar, and i also think this is pushed out to Google as well
Maybe this isn’t quite as simple as I was expecting but, allowing customers to leave testimonials per product is something we would love to see, in any way it’s shaped and we would pay a premium for that feature.
