Limit # of reviews shown by device

Currently, you can limit the # of reviews shown for a widget. But, like ElfSight does it, I’d love to be able to set a limit for desktop/tablet and a limit for mobile. The reason: on desktop, you can easily get away with showing 16 reviews, but 16 reviews on mobile can be overwhelming (the user keeps scrolling and scrolling…).

    Differentiate between amount of reviews on desktop and mobile

    Displaying e.g. 20 reviews on desktop requires less scroll than on mobile. Therefore, I’d like a way to differentiate between the number of reviews that’s displayed on 1) desktop and 2) mobile. It could be to load a “read more”-button only on mobile, if the number of reviews exceeds xx reviews.

    Hey @Steve,

    That’s actually an awesome idea — and you can already achieve something similar with Custom CSS.

    Let’s assume you are using our Testimonial Masonry widget, here’s a snippet you can add:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 600px) {
      .sj-masonry-item {
        display: none !important;
      }

      .sj-masonry-item:nth-child(-n + 3) {
        display: block !important;
      }
    }

    What this does:

    • On desktop: All testimonials are shown.

    • On mobile: Only the first 3 testimonials are displayed.

    To show more on mobile, just replace the 3 in nth-child(-n + 3) with your desired number.

    Let me know if this helps.
